Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Nairobi

Umani Bliss Safaris Representative will be eagerly waiting to meet you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a brief welcoming note, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure at your hotel.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Half-day excursion through Kenya’s capital, Nairobi City. This will be payable directly on the spot.

Day 2 - Nairobi to Amboseli

Following your early morning breakfast, check out at your camp and depart for Amboseli  National Park at 0700 hrs East Africa Time. Proceed on your drives past Nairobi southwards to the foot of Africa’s tallest standing mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon before proceeding on your evening game drive in this majestic park. Return to your camp at sunset.

Dinner and Overnight at AA Amboseli Lodge or Similar.

Day 3 - Full day in Amboseli

After an early breakfast, proceed on a full day game drives in Amboseli National Park. Enjoy large herds of marsh elephants walking on the front yard of Mt. Kilimanjaro into the swamps. Bird life is great here with flocks of flamingos present amongst many other birds.

Enjoy your picnic lunch at Normatior (Observation Hill) before driving back to your lodge for a relaxed afternoon. Later, proceed to a Maasai Cultural Village visit, this will be organized by your guide (entry fees of $ 30 per person are paid directly to the Maasai Village Chief). Get a chance to interact and learn more about this beautiful community that is renowned worldwide for its rich culture and way of life.

Dinner and Overnight at  AA Amboseli Lodge or Similar

 

Day 4 - Amboseli - Ol Pejeta

After breakfast depart for a 7-hr long journey to Ol Pejeta Conservancy located between the foothills of Mt.Kenya and Aberdares in Laikipia County.  Engage in a variety of activities ranging from lion tracking excursions to chimpanzee spotting at the  Sweetwaters  Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

The private ranch at Sweetwater is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya for these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. Learn more about the endangered game at Ol Pejeta Endangered Species Boma.  Examples are southern white rhinos, Jackson’s hartebeest, and black rhinos.

Day 5 - Drive to Samburu National Park

This day starts early after breakfast and departs for the dramatic semi-arid scrub land of the Northern Frontier. Arrival in Samburu will be by lunchtime. After lunch embark on a game drive to sight resident wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, and the Blue-necked Somali Ostrich that are rare elsewhere in the country.

Dinner and overnight will be at the spectacular Samburu Sopa Lodge or Similar(FB).

Day 6 - Full day at Samburu National Reserve

Today you will spend the full day in the Samburu National Park. You will have early morning and evening game drives. The highlights of the Samburu game reserve are the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers, and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes leopards, hippos, elephants, lions, reticulated giraffes, grevy's zebra, and crocodiles in the Ewaso Nyiro River. Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries.

Overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge or Similar (FB).

Day 7 - Samburu to Lake Naivasha

Early morning breakfast before departing at 07:00H and proceed to a drive to Lake Naivasha, one of the freshwater lakes found on the Kenyan Great Rift Valley. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon on leisure with an optional boat excursion 30USD

Overnight at Kongoni Lodge- (FB) or Similar (FB)

Day 8 - Naivasha to Masai Mara Game Reserve

After your early breakfast, meet your driver guide for a safari brief before departing and driving to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will drive past the scenic Great Rift Valley escarpment, the Suswa plains before arriving to the Mara. Make it for lunch at your camp. You will enjoy your first game drive in the evening.

Overnight at Enkorok Mara  Camp or Similar- (FB)

Day 9 - Full day at Masai Mara

Depart after breakfast and proceed for a full day of game drives in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will be on a mission to find the Big Five as you interact with the entire flora and fauna that make this eco system complete. You will be back to your camp in the afternoon. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon relaxing.

Overnight at Enkorok Mara Camp or Similar - (FB)

Day 10 - Masai Mara To Nairobi for departure

Breakfast at leisure then depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon and dropping off at the airport as per your flight schedule, you can opt to take a refresher package at Crown Plaza Nairobi Airport Hotel($80 Per Person), the rooftop offers a beautiful view over the green surroundings, enjoy a drink the bar (not included) or take a rest at the swimming pool as you await your flight schedule back home. Later transfer to the Terminal for your flight as per schedule.
